About Us
Hedman & Bergman Publishing was founded in the spring of 2023
with the release of our first joint book, Öbor. Our vision
is to publish books that we ourselves find meaningful and rewarding
to produce, both independently and in collaboration with individuals,
companies, organizations, and public authorities.
Ingrid Hedman
is a journalist, author, writing coach, and content writer. She is the author of Sofas & Strangers – Couchsurfing and Interrail Across Eastern Europe (Hedman & Bergman Publishing, 2026), Öbor – Life Stories from the Stockholm Archipelago (Hedman & Bergman Publishing, 2023) The Whole World on My Couch (Carlsson Publishing, 2013), as well as the editor of the anthology Girls Against the Stream (Periskop Publishing, 2003). Ingrid's articles, reportages, and columns have been published in numerous newspapers and magazines. She also works as a content/copywriter, creating material for websites, social media, newsletters, and blogs for companies across a wide range of industries. In 2018, Ingrid became a certified writing instructor, and since 2014 she has run the company Skrivarresor, through which she organizes writing courses on various themes.
Ylva Bergman
is a trained photojournalist from Nordens Fotoskola. She is the photographer behind the books Sofas & Strangers – Couchsurfing and Interrail Across Eastern Europe (Hedman & Bergman Publishing, 2026) and Öbor – Life Stories from the Stockholm Archipelago (Hedman & Bergman Publishing, 2023). Ylva works both as a freelance photographer and as a staff reporter for Tidningen Skärgården since 2017, in addition to pursuing her own projects. She has previously worked as a photographer for StockholmDirekt and Dagens Arbete. Ylva's photojournalism has been exhibited at Fotografiska Museum, Arbetets museum in Norrköping, Galleri Kontrast in Stockholm, and Hänkelhuset in Gustavsberg. She also photographed the images for the book Skogen Berättar (LL Förlag, 2017).
